Terms of Service

Effective date: October 31, 2026

Last updated: October 31, 2026

Welcome to the website of Manhattan Teen & Young Adult Psychology ("we," "us"). These terms explain the rules for using this website, manhattanteentherapy.com. Please read them along with our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use this website.

If you are in crisis

This website is not for emergencies. Our forms, email, voicemail and social media are not watched around the clock.

If you or someone you know is in danger or thinking about suicide:

  • Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), any time
  • Text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line)
  • Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room

What these terms cover

These terms cover your use of this website only. They do not cover therapy or other services. If you become a client, your care is covered by the intake paperwork and consent forms you sign with us, and your health information is covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices. Current clients can ask us for a copy. If those documents say something different from these terms, those documents win.

Information on this site is not therapy or medical advice

Our articles, videos, quizzes and other content are for general information and education. They are not a diagnosis, treatment or professional advice for you or your child. Every person is different. Please talk with a licensed mental health or medical professional about your own situation.

Using this site does not make you a client

Reading our site, filling out a form, sending us an email or message, or following us on social media does not create a therapist-client relationship. That only starts after we have talked with you, agreed to work together, and you have completed our intake process.

Regular email and social media messages are not encrypted, so please don't send private health details that way. Our website forms are provided by TheraSaaS, a secure, HIPAA-compliant form provider. See our Privacy Policy.

Online therapy (telehealth)

We can offer online therapy only where the law allows our clinicians to see you, based on where you are at the time of each session. We'll talk about this with you before we start. Information on this site about telehealth is not an offer of services everywhere.

Booking, forms and outside services

Some buttons and forms on our site are run by other companies, and our inquiry forms are provided by TheraSaaS. When you use them, their terms and privacy policies also apply. Asking for an appointment online does not guarantee one. We will confirm with you.

Our forms show a lightly blurred picture first. They load from TheraSaaS, a secure, HIPAA-compliant form provider, only after you click one or turn on Functional cookies. One click turns on all our TheraSaaS tools. Our Privacy Policy explains how this works and how to turn it off.

Reviews

We do not reply to online reviews in a way that confirms someone is or was our client. If you choose to post a review, please remember that it will be public.

Our content and how you may use it

The text, photos, logos, videos and design of this site belong to Dayana Jiménez, Psy.D., PLLC or to others who let us use them. You may view, print or share our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, as long as you keep any credit and copyright notice. Please do not copy, sell or republish our content without our written permission.

Some photos and other materials are licensed from third parties and remain their property.

If you think something on our site is yours

We try hard to use only content we have the right to use. If you believe something on our site uses your work without permission, email us at the address under "Contact us" at the end of this page, with the page link, a description of your work, and how to reach you. We will look into it and remove it if needed.

Please use the site fairly

When you use this site, please do not:

  • Break the law or harm others
  • Send spam, false information, or someone else's personal information without permission
  • Try to hack, overload, or interfere with the site, or collect data from it with bots or scrapers
  • Pretend to be someone else

We may block access to the site for anyone who does these things.

Changes to the site

We may update, change or remove parts of the site at any time. We do our best to keep information accurate and current, but things like fees, insurance, clinician availability and hours can change. Please call us to confirm.

Our site links to other websites, like our client portal, social media and helpful resources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices or availability. A link is not an endorsement.

No warranties

We work to keep this site accurate, safe and available. But we provide it "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that the site will always be available, error-free, or free of viruses, and we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Dayana Jiménez, Psy.D., PLLC and our team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages that come from your use of, or inability to use, this website. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under the law, and it does not apply to the professional services we provide to clients, which are covered by your client agreements.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about this website will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, unless the law says otherwise.

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a part of these terms right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.

Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use our site. If something is hard to use, please see our Accessibility statement or call us at the phone number shown at the bottom of every page. We will help you get the information another way.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Changes apply from that date forward. They do not change anything that happened before.
