Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 31, 2026
Last updated: October 31, 2026
This policy explains what information Manhattan Teen & Young Adult Psychology ("we," "us") collects through this website, manhattanteentherapy.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
We wrote it to be easy to read. If anything is unclear, please contact us.
The short version
- This policy covers our website only. It does not cover your therapy records. Those are covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices.
- Our website forms are secure. They are provided by TheraSaaS, a secure, HIPAA-compliant form provider.
- Regular email is not encrypted. Please don't send health details by email.
- Optional cookies stay off until you say yes. You can change your mind any time in Cookie preferences.
- We may advertise our practice, for example with Google Ads, but we don't do remarketing. We don't share your information with third-party advertisers or remarketing tools.
- We don't sell or share your personal information.
- You can ask to see, fix or delete your information. Email us at djimenez [at] manhattanteentherapy.com or call us at the phone number shown at the bottom of every page.
- In a crisis, do not use this website to reach us. Call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.
Your website information is not your therapy record
This website is for learning about our practice and getting in touch. It is not part of your care.
If you become a client, your health information is protected by federal law (HIPAA) and by state law. That information is covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this website policy.
Current clients: our Notice of Privacy Practices explains how we handle your therapy records. Please ask us for a copy.
Current clients should use the secure client portal to message us or share forms.
A caution about regular email
Regular email is not encrypted, so it isn't a safe way to send private health information. If you email us, please share only your name, how to reach you, and a short note about the kind of help you're looking for. For example, "Looking for a therapist for my 14-year-old" is plenty. We will ask for more details later, in a private and secure way.
If you'd like to share more, please use our website form instead. It is provided by TheraSaaS, a secure, HIPAA-compliant form provider.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a form, email us, call us or text us, we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address and phone number
- Your mailing address, if you share it
- Who the services are for (for example, you, your child or your teen) and the type of service you are asking about
- Your preferred times and how you would like us to contact you
- Anything you choose to write in a message box
Our contact and inquiry forms
Our forms are provided by TheraSaaS, a secure, HIPAA-compliant form provider that we use to receive and manage inquiries. TheraSaaS runs on technology from LeadConnector.
- Our forms load only when you choose. This includes TheraSaaS forms, TheraSaaS calendars and other TheraSaaS tools embedded on this site. At first you see a lightly blurred picture of each one. Nothing loads from TheraSaaS until you turn on Functional cookies (or press "Accept all"), or click the button on a form or calendar.
- One click turns on all our TheraSaaS tools. If you click the button on any form or calendar, we take that as your OK for all TheraSaaS forms, TheraSaaS calendars and other TheraSaaS tools embedded on this site. We remember it in your browser, so after that they load on every page without asking again. This doesn't turn on our videos or Analytics. You can turn it off any time in Cookie preferences.
- If Functional cookies are on (or you pressed "Accept all"), all TheraSaaS forms, TheraSaaS calendars and other TheraSaaS tools embedded on this site, and our videos, load without an extra click.
- What the form collects: the details you type in, such as your name, email, phone number, who the services are for, and your message. It may also record the date and time, the page you were on, and basic technical details like your IP address and browser.
- What else loads with the form: when a form loads, it also gets fonts from Google Fonts and files from Google Cloud Storage, so Google receives your IP address and browser details. It also runs a Cloudflare security check that helps stop spam. That check may set a cookie named
__cf_bm(about 30 minutes) on the form provider's domain. TheraSaaS may use other cookies or similar tools to make the form work. - Where it goes: when you press submit, your answers are sent to TheraSaaS and stored in our account there, so our team can reply to you.
If the form asks for your consent to anything, such as receiving text messages, that request is shown on the form before you press submit.
Text messages
If you check the box to receive text messages, we may text you about your inquiry or appointment. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop, or HELP for help.
We do not share your mobile number or your consent to receive texts with any third party for their marketing. Text messaging opt-in data is not shared with third parties, except the service providers that send the messages for us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our site and the tools it uses can collect some details automatically when you visit, such as:
- Your IP address (a number that identifies your internet connection) and your rough location (city or region)
- Your browser and device type
- The pages you visit, the page you came from, and how long you stay
- A random ID stored in a cookie, so a tool can tell when the same browser comes back
Some of these details, like an IP address or a cookie ID, can be linked to you, especially if they are combined with other information. That is why we only turn on optional tools after you agree.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Reply to your questions and help you get started with care
- Schedule consultations and appointments
- Send you information you asked for, including our newsletter if you signed up
- Understand how people use our website, so we can make it clearer and easier to use (only if you allow Analytics cookies)
- Keep our website safe and working
- Follow the law and protect our rights
We do not use the information from this website to make decisions about your care.
Advertising and remarketing
We may run advertising, such as Google Ads, to help people find our practice. We don't do remarketing, and we don't share your information with third-party advertisers or remarketing tools.
Remarketing means showing you ads on other websites and apps because you visited ours. We don't do it.
No advertising code runs on this website. By "advertising code," we mean any code that sends information about your visit to an ad platform, either to measure ads or to show you ads on other websites and apps. For example:
- Google Ads conversion or remarketing tags
- The Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel
- The TikTok Pixel
- Microsoft (Bing) UET tag
- The LinkedIn Insight Tag
- Google Analytics advertising features, such as Google Signals or ads personalization
Basic Google Analytics that only measures how people use our own website is not an advertising tool, and it runs only if you allow Analytics cookies.
If we ever add advertising code to this website, such as a Google Ads conversion tag, we will update this policy first, it would run only after you opt in, and it would never be used for remarketing.
Cookies and similar tools
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Similar tools include pixels, tags, scripts and local storage. We group the ones we use into categories. You choose which ones to allow.
| Category | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Makes the site work and remembers your cookie choices. It does not track you for analytics or ads. | Always on |
| Analytics | Helps us count visits and see which pages are useful. | Off until you say yes |
| Functional | Loads TheraSaaS forms, TheraSaaS calendars and other TheraSaaS tools embedded on this site, our Vimeo videos and other content from outside services. | Off until you say yes. Clicking any form or calendar turns on all TheraSaaS tools. Pressing play on any video turns on the Videos setting for all videos on the site, even after Reject all. |
We don't use advertising cookies on this website, so there is no advertising category to turn on.
Our cookie banner and Cookie preferences
When you first visit, a small box at the bottom of the screen asks what you want to allow. "Reject all" is just as easy as "Accept all." To choose category by category, open "Review options." Optional categories start switched off.
Until you choose, we only use strictly necessary tools. Clicking a form or calendar, or pressing play on a video, also counts as a choice, but only for that group (TheraSaaS tools, or videos). This applies even if you chose Reject all. You can change your choices at any time, including turning TheraSaaS tools or videos back off. Use the Cookie preferences link in the footer of every page. Turning something off stops it from loading on our pages from then on. Cookies that a service already set stay in your browser until they expire or you clear them.
We use Google Consent Mode. This means Google tools on our site are told your choice and must follow it. If you have not said yes, Google Analytics does not load.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information. We don't sell or share, and we will keep it that way for your browser. Learn more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
Your browser settings
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, some parts of the site, like remembering your cookie choices, may not work.
The tools we use
These are the outside services our website uses. Each one has its own privacy policy. We list only the tools this site actually uses.
Strictly necessary
- Website hosting (Cloudflare). Our host delivers the site to you and protects it from attacks. Like any web host, it handles your IP address and basic request details. It may set a security cookie to block bots.
- Your cookie choices. We save your choices in your browser (local storage key
cookie_consent) so we don't ask on every page. This includes whether you turned on our TheraSaaS tools or videos by clicking one, and the date you did.
Analytics
- Google Analytics 4 (Google). Counts visits and shows which pages are used. It sets cookies named
_gaand_ga_<ID>that keep a random ID for up to 2 years. We keep Google Signals and ads personalization turned off. Google says Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google Analytics keeps visit data for up to 14 months. Google Analytics loads only if you allow Analytics cookies. Google's privacy policy and how Google uses data from sites.
Functional
- TheraSaaS forms, TheraSaaS calendars and other TheraSaaS tools embedded on this site. A secure, HIPAA-compliant form provider. Shown as a lightly blurred picture until you turn on Functional cookies or click one. One click on any form or calendar turns on all TheraSaaS tools. When they load, they also use Google Fonts, Google Cloud Storage and a Cloudflare security check (cookie
__cf_bm). They also save a small note in your browser's local storage (keys namedembedded_iframe_inline-followed by the form's ID). It records the form's ID, its layout and how many times the form has been shown in this browser. It contains nothing you type. See "Our contact and inquiry forms" above. - Vimeo videos. Our videos show a picture first. If Functional cookies are off, nothing loads from Vimeo until you press play. Pressing play on any one of our videos turns on the Videos setting for all videos on the site, even if you chose Reject all or turned videos off before: we remember it in your browser, and our other videos then load without another click. It doesn't turn on Analytics, advertising or our TheraSaaS tools. If Functional cookies are on, our videos load without a click, but they don't start playing on their own. We ask Vimeo not to track you ("Do Not Track" mode). When a video loads, Vimeo receives your IP address and browser details, and it may run its own security check and set cookies. You can turn videos off any time in Cookie preferences. Vimeo's privacy policy.
Our client portal
Our client portal is run by a separate company. It has its own privacy policy and terms. Information you enter there is handled under that policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices, not this website policy.
Who we share information with
We don't sell or share your personal information. "Share" means giving your information to other companies so they can show you targeted ads on other websites and apps. We don't do that.
We do give information to a few others, only in these cases:
- Service providers that help us run the website and reply to you, like our web host, TheraSaaS (our form and inquiry system, and the Google and Cloudflare services its forms use when they load), Vimeo (when our videos load), our email newsletter service, and Google Analytics (if you allow it). They may use the information only to provide their service to us, and as their own privacy policies describe.
- When the law requires it, such as a valid court order or subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, staff or others.
- If our practice changes hands, such as a merger or sale, as part of that change. We would keep this policy's protections in place.
- With your permission, for any other reason.
Children and teens
We help children, teens and families. But this website is meant for parents, guardians and adults. It is not meant for children to use on their own.
- Under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you are a parent and think your child sent us information through the website, please contact us. We will delete it.
- Under 16. We don't sell or share anyone's personal information, including that of anyone under 16. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before you choose any cookie settings other than "Reject all," and please ask them to contact us for you.
- Parents and guardians. If you contact us about your child, please share only what we need to reach you. We will talk about your child's needs privately.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it:
- Website inquiries: We keep inquiries for as long as we use our client management system, unless you ask us to delete them.
- Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe.
- Google Analytics data: Google Analytics keeps visit data for up to 14 months.
- Privacy requests: about 24 months, so we can show we handled them.
- Client records: kept as the law requires, as explained in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards. Our site uses encryption (HTTPS). We limit who on our team can see website inquiries. We choose service providers that protect data.
No website or email system is 100% secure. Regular email is not encrypted, so please do not use it for private health information. We will never ask you for a Social Security number or payment card number by email or through a website form.
Your choices and rights
No matter where you live, you can:
- Change your cookie choices any time in Cookie preferences.
- Ask what information we have about you from this website.
- Ask us to fix information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information. We may need to keep some of it if the law requires it.

- A parent or legal guardian can make a request for a minor child. Someone you authorize in writing can make a request for you.
